Travis Merriweather is an executive in the CAA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which represents many of the most successful and innovative professionals working in media and sports. The Foundation activates the power and reach of the entertainment, media, and sports industries to create systemic social change for a more equitable and optimistic future. Its efforts are focused on public education, civic engagement, climate, and in times of critical need, mobilizing into action through crisis response.
Merriweather joined the agency in 2022 to help drive the efforts in civic engagement and client servicing. Previously, he served as Senior Political Strategist at ICM Partners, the inhouse political consultancy for ICM clients and staff. In this role, Merriweather aided in the creation of several new programs and activations aimed at creating a more socially just and inclusive workplace. Merriweather first became politically involved as a community organizer with Organizing for America, mobilizing grassroots support for President Obama's legislative priorities and 2012 re-election campaign. After helping lead one of the largest voter registrations drives on a college campus in America, Travis worked in the office of the Chief of Staff to First Lady Michelle Obama. He moved to Los Angeles in 2014 where he has served as a political fundraiser and entertainment relations consultant for candidates and campaigns including Hillary for America and Jacky Rosen for U.S. Senate for Nevada.
