Joe Guido joined HeadCount in 2016 by volunteering at the Dave Mathews Band show at Riverbend. After moving from Ohio to Florida later that year, he continued to volunteer for HeadCount, and after experiencing the March for Our Lives event in Tampa he decided he wanted to step up and become more involved. As an advocate for Social Justice and Voter Rights it seemed like a natural fit!
Joe was born in New York City but grew up inNorth Miami Beach in south Florida. He traveled extensively after college where he studied Nuclear and Environmental Engineering at RPI and eventually graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Nuclear Engineering and MS in Environmental Engineering, and has lived in Virginia, Arkansas, California, Maryland, New Mexico, Idaho, New York and Ohio. During the 1980's he lived in the northeast and followed the Grateful Dead on there tours through the area. He is still a fan of the Dead's current incarnation, Dead and Company, but is also a fan of Yonder Mountain String Band, Green Day, Linkin Park, Bright Eyes and Jeffrey Lewis.
