Estrellita Mondragon (she/her/ella) is an undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at New York University Silver School of Social Work, where she has developed a strong foundation of social work skills, as well as completed a minor in Social and Public Policy. Raised in the Chicagoland area, she credits her journey from a low-income immigrant household that fuels the drive for her passion for social justice. As a resilient first-gen Latina, she has gained experience in community activism and outreach. Estrellita serves as co-president of the Latine Social Work Student Organization at NYU Silver. Through community outreach, Estrellita hopes to expand HeadCount's presence to the Chicagoland area as well as welcome members to the organization. She is incredibly excited to make the connection between community and democracy, as well as embrace the musical roots of Chicago house music.
